Medical Recall Of Driver’s License – It Can Be Challenged
One of our clients recently found out that a trip to the doctor can lead to the loss of your license. When she reported being tired all the time, the doctor quizzed her on her driving. He then filed a report which resulted in PennDOT issuing a notice of recall of her driver’s license for medical reasons, allegedly for a sleep disorder. She came to us to fight the recall. We appealed and got a stay (or stop) of the recall pending the final hearing. When she was able to get supporting information from the physicians the recall was cancelled and she kept her driver’s license.
